Introducing Dramacube Dance Company
At Dramacube, we believe performance has the power to build creativity, self-esteem, and memories that last a lifetime. That’s why we’re thrilled to launch the Dramacube Dance Company—a dedicated range of dance classes in Teddington designed to give young dancers the training, voice, and stage experience they need to shine.
What makes Dramacube Dance Classes Different?
We caught up with professional dancer, choreographer, and lead tutor Rory Cubbin to discuss all things dance, performance, and what young dancers can expect from our new Teddington classes!

What inspired the creation of the Dramacube Dance Company?
Rory: "At Dramacube, we’ve always believed in the power of performance. While there are many dance classes available for children, we saw an opportunity to create something unique—an environment where every project culminates in a live performance experience.
Dance has always been an essential part of our musical theatre productions for young performers, but not every child dreams of acting or singing. Many love to express themselves purely through movement. The Dramacube Dance Company gives those young dancers a dedicated platform to shine, build self-confidence, and experience the thrill of the stage."
From Studio to Stage
What format will the weekly dance classes take?
Rory: "Our weekly classes give children the opportunity to train with myself and a talented team of experienced choreographers.
- Weekly Routine Building: Students learn new, exciting routines each week to develop technique, musicality, and confidence.
- Collaborative Choreography: As the term progresses, we pull together the best, most memorable moments from these routines into a showcase piece.
- Live Production Performance: Dancers collaboratively shape the final piece and perform live as part of the latest Dramacube production!"
From Beginner Ballet to Modern & Commercial
What dance styles will students participate in?
Rory: "We offer a diverse range of dance styles so every child can discover their passion:
- Classical Foundations: Beginner Ballet & Contemporary
- High-Energy Styles: Jazz, Commercial & Modern Dance
- Stage Performance: Musical Theatre
Whether a child is taking their very first steps or broadening existing skills, our varied programme nurtures talent and encourages individuality."
Empowering Young Dancers in Teddington
What is your teaching approach for these new kids' classes?
Rory: "Children learn best when they feel comfortable in a positive, nurturing environment. We encourage young dancers to play an active role in their creative journey—from suggesting music they love to contributing choreography ideas.
My motto is that FAIL stands for 'First Attempt In Learning'. We embrace mistakes as opportunities to grow. I want every student to leave class feeling empowered, valued, and proud of their progress."

Where might families recognise your work from?
Rory: "Dance has been my lifelong passion. I trained at The Wallasey School of Ballet and studied Professional Musical Theatre at Liverpool Theatre School.
As a professional dancer and choreographer, my live work includes West End productions like West End Bares, UK national tours, Costa Cruises, and performances at London’s Adelphi Theatre.
On screen, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to projects for major international studios and broadcasters including Disney, Marvel, Netflix, HBO, Apple, Warner Bros., and Good Morning Britain."
