Live Theatre is enriching for local families

Live theatre is enriching for local families…. Being part of our Dramacube world you will already be well aware of this fact but not everyone is. The magic of being transported to another time and place, all from the comfort of your red velvet theatre seat, is an experience that is hard to put into words.

Newcomers are always surprised and impressed to see a purpose-built theatre standing in our, otherwise humble, village of Hampton Hill. The impact this has on our local neighbourhood is immeasurable as the theatre draws in young families, teenagers and older members of the local borough.

Dramacube shows are unusual because they are created for young people and they are performedLive Theatre is Enriching for Local Families by children and teenagers but set upon a stage in a real theatre with professional sound, lighting, staging, costumes and set design. Giving the performers and actors the chance to experience a truly professional experience. Our shows are very popular with with families in the local communities as well as the family and friends of our young performers.

We caught up with children from The Discovery Den after they watched our tale as old as time.

I loved the stage, especially the castle, how it was designed. I also liked the costumes because I could see the effort put into them to match the characters just like in the movie. The songs were beautifully sung and the acting was amazing, every child worked so hard. I feel privileged that I got to see Beauty and the Beast Jr. (Hannah, aged 12)

The theatre was very big and spacious, the stage had well made beautiful decorations. The actors were very enthusiastic and they performed for 1.5hrs non-stop, changing through the play and singing a lot. It must have took them a lot of practise to memorise the lines. I was very impressed. I would be happy to see Beauty and the Beast again or any other plays arranged by the same crew. Big thank you. (George, aged 9)

I saw Beauty and the Beast with my 4 year old daughter, Rumaisa, and we both absolutely loved it! The actors brought such sass and charisma to their roles, truly brining the characters to life. The singing was simply outstanding- powerful and pitch-perfect throughout. I was particularly impressed by the confidence of the young actors on stage, their talent and poise were incredible to watch. It was a magical experience for both of us! (Fahema & Rumaisa aged 4)

The show was amazing, my favourite characters were Lumiere, Belle, Gaston, Cogsworth and Chip. They were all great singers and very funny. I think Lumiere was the star of the show. It has inspired me to try acting. 5 stars! (Sophie, aged 7)

This was the best show ever. I want to see it again every day! I loved all the costume and the singing. (Ava, aged 4)

I really enjoyed it! The children are very good at acting. I wish I was a part of it. (Thiago, aged 5)

I enjoyed the show, it was funny. Hoping to see a Part Two! (Hezekiah, aged 11)
